Cookie Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
A cookie or tracker is information stored on your device when you visit Clairly. This policy covers all tracking technologies (HTTP cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs).
1. Framework
Under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and CNIL guidelines: non-essential trackers are set only after consent; refusing is as easy as accepting; continuing to browse does not constitute consent; consent is re-collected at most every 13 months; and you can withdraw consent at any time via the “Manage cookies” footer link.
2. Strictly necessary (exempt from consent)
| Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Account authentication and security | Session |
| Stripe | Payment processing and fraud prevention | Session / up to 1 year |
| Clairly | Language preference | Until you clear it |
| Clairly | Light or dark appearance | Until you clear it |
| Clairly | Your cookie choice | 6 months |
Clerk and Stripe apply to the signed-in application at app.clairly.co. The public clairly.co website sets none of them.
3. Audience measurement
Two measurement tools are used, and they are treated differently because they behave differently.
| Provider | Purpose | Consent | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vercel Web Analytics | Counts page views and reports the site visitors arrived from, with no cookie and no identifier stored on your device | Not required: no tracker is placed and no profile is built | No storage on your device |
| Google Analytics | Site traffic statistics, pages read, and acquisition sources | Loaded only after you allow it, and not before | 13 months max |
Google Analytics involves a transfer to Google LLC in the United States, framed by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework to which Google is certified. If you refuse, no Google script is loaded at all.
4. Advertising trackers
Clairly uses no third-party advertising trackers today. If marketing campaigns are launched (e.g. Meta, LinkedIn, or Google Ads), the corresponding trackers will be set only after consent and this policy will be updated.
5. Managing your choices
- On first visit, choose to accept all, refuse all, or customise per purpose.
- Use the permanent “Manage cookies” footer link to change or withdraw consent at any time.
- Browser settings can also block trackers; blocking strictly necessary ones may degrade the Service.
